Today I woke up drenched in sweat again, in this little van, fully equipped. I constantly have nightmares, I fall asleep listening to radiohead, and wake up to the sounds of the most powerful engines in the world outside the door. I don’t have time to get out of bed and wash my face when journalists start knocking on the door of the van asking for an interview, when will they leave me alone?? When will they all understand that all I care about is speed? Only sitting in a car, on the road, rushing at unearthly speed, do I feel alive. In the midst of rivals, where any mistake can lead me and those around me to death, I feel comfortable and at home.
But we have to https://busrcasino.co.uk/ work. I have signed a long-term contract with my team. Bosses demand results, but fans only demand victories. I can’t let them down, otherwise they’ll eat them alive. My manager always tells me that losing a race doesn’t mean losing the season, but I can’t lose. If during a race there are cars looming in front of me, I cannot relax, I must lead and nothing else, I dictate the rules. Lately there have been a lot of talented racers in the world, and my car is no longer the same, things are not going very well, it’s frustrating. But my fans are always with me, they are loyal and believe in me.
My car on the track. It bakes like hell, the asphalt melts under the scorching sun. Tires squeal and away we go. Circle after circle, circle after circle, I am carried towards the cherished finish. Left behind Barrichello, Button. A quick pit stop, change of tires and back into battle. My mind is sober, and my hands are doing movements that have been practiced a thousand times. Turning, and being cut off by me, Alonso flies off the track. His mistake, his oversight, my sympathies friend.
Last lap. The atmosphere is heating up, I fly past people in the stands and they merge into one, raging creature. Only Vettel and Webber are ahead, in their magnificent RB6s. Three cars are moving in orderly row towards the most cherished one, the rest are far behind. Suddenly Webber makes a mistake on the turn and I manage to squeeze between him and the race leader. The finish line, I’m making a superhuman effort and it seems like I’m squeezing the soul out of my car, just so that he can improve, and lo and behold, at the very finish line I’m ahead of Vettel by a couple of centimeters. Flag wave, victory!
I’m on the podium, the crowd is cheering. Hundreds of cameras blind me again. I will have to say thank you to my technicians, the car in this race showed itself to be the strongest and fastest. I’m so tired, I’m heading to my van, I have only one desire, to sleep and relax. There are reporters at the entrance, you can’t hide from them anywhere.
-What can you say about the race Michael?-
-I’m back.-
